Dr Srimala Kumarapaapillai

I was born in Sri Lanka, but grew up and did my medical training in South Africa.

However, after 14 years New Zealand is now home. I find people endlessly fascinating and enjoy all aspects of the GP world.



My extensive work experience in various hospitals both in South Africa and New Zealand in many different specialties, allows me to be comfortable with the different facets of family health care.

I love to watch sports, play scrabble and do puzzles. Reading and travelling are a lifetime passion. With my gorgeous daughter and handsome husband, I also take care of our 70 fish....and counting!
